The Hut Architecture was completed the project to rebuilt An existing 1950′s bungalow in a beautiful setting on the South Coast to create a sustainable and modern family home. The entire building has been insulated and then enveloped in rough sawn Siberian larch. New double glazed doors, windows and skylights bring in daylight and views of the woodland. Simple materials such as rough timber, polished concrete and galvanized steel are used internally to create an unpretentious building that with time and use will acquire its own place within the family. This South Coast Weekend Retreat was featured on Channel five`s “I own Britain’s best home”.
