Built in 2006, this V shaped Elevated House Plans was designed by Japanese architecture firm Naf Architect & Design in Hiroshima, Japan. Rice fields surround the site, with natural riches around such as a national park, a pond of Junsai -a kind of waterweeds threatened with extinction- and bamboo forests. Stretching out east and west, the site bends like a Japanese character ‘?’ with its corner facing north. This flood-prone, elevated house plan with the main entrance from the street leading to the rooftop terrace level and continuing downstairs to the main living area. A large deck on the lower level spans the entire length of the house and allows for immediate access to outdoor entertaining areas from every room through sliding-glass doors – even the bathtub overlooks the outdoors! Interiors are simple but stylish, featuring wood-clad walls and marble floors which further connect this home to nature.
